Punctuation

To the tune of If Your Happy & You Know It
Used to remember students to edit.

Most sentences have a period at the end, (clap, clap)
Most sentences have a period at the end, (clap, clap)
Some an exclamation point,
Some a questions mark,
But most sentences have a period at the end. (clap, clap)

Transitions

Transitions:  At the beginning of the school day, usually the students play until everyone gets there.  Then the teacher starts singing this song, the children know to come to their seats to start their routine activities.

Happy Days

Sung to: "Happy Days theme song"

Sunday, Monday ..Happy days,
Tuesday, Wednesday.. Happy Days,
Thursday, Friday,.. Happy Days,
Saturday-y-y,
What a day-y-y,
Groovin All week with you!!!!
( we twist down to the floor and back up while singing this part)
Oooooooooooooooo!!!!!

Transitions:  Before story time and circle time, you can sing this song to get students geared to listen.

Right hand, Left hand

Give a little clap.

Right hand, left hand

Put them on your lap!!

By Meghan, Nichole and Erin

Brad, Emily M., Carol

Listen

(Are you sleeping?)

Time to listen, time to listen

Everyday, everyday

Open your ears and listen

Open your ears and listen

Everyday, everyday.

I’m a Little Listener

(I’m a Little Teapot)

I’m a little listener, quiet as can be.
Hands in my lap, eyes open so I can see.
When I listen carefully, then my feet
Are as peaceful as my seat.

End of the Day Song

To the Tune: This Old Man

Goodbye friends, so long pals
Take care all you guys and gals!
We will come back here on another day!
That's the kindergarten way!

Bathing

(Tune of If You’re Happy and You Know It)

Healthy people bathe yes they do.

Stinky people don’t, pe-ew.

If you want to smell fresh

Then Zest is surely best

Healthy people bathe yes they do.

By: Tanya Taylor and Denice Schofield
