Upcoming Courses I'm Teaching - Summer 2009

|Language Arts 110: Reading|

The actual course website will be available in Desire2Learn on June 29. Until then, however, you may review the course syllabus and purchase your textbook. The following textbook for this course may be purchased through the DSU Bookstore:

Active Reading Skills by Kathleen McWhorter  (ISBN: 9780321159168) - Please note that this textbook comes packaged with an access code to the online site MyReadingLab.

MyReadingLab is an integral part of the class. If a used text is purchased, a separate access code must be purchased online. For more information, you may go directly to www.myreadinglab.com.

If you have purchased an access code to MyReadingLab for a previous semester, you may still have access. The easiest way to determine this is to go to www.myreadinglab.com and attempt to log in. If you can, you still have access; if you receive a message about an expired account, you do not. To check your account status, login to MyReadingLab, choose "Settings" and select the "Edit" link under Personal Information. You will be required to enter your username and password and then be provided with your current account information.

I do not have access to your MyReadingLab usernames or passwords, so if you forget those passwords, you must use the links available on MyReadingLab to retrieve that information.

To allow you to familiarize yourself with the MyReadingLab interface and complete the diagnostic pre-test early if you wish, I will open the course space on MyReadingLab June 24. The course ID is Hueners627759R, but the easiest way to join the course is to search for my last name: Hueners. Our summer course will be the only course that will be listed after the search.

If you used MyReadingLab in a previous course, you will need to join the new course.
