Several reading groups read the books from SDRC like The Wedding Dress, The Giver, All the Pretty Horses, etc. Other books that were popular were John Grisham’s books, The Land They Possessed, The Cat Who..(series), Jane Austen’s books, books about Anne Frank, Slave Dancer, Shades of Gray, Chicken Soup for the Soul, Lord Grizzly, The Horse Whispered, Walk Two Moons, Grapes of Wrath, Gary Paulsen’s books, Where the Red Fern Grows and Robinson Crusoe.
