| Teachers motivate students to read by having them keep
track of the books they read. Try the idea yourselves. Get one of those small colorful
blank book that are available at bookstores, grocery stores, etc. and keep track of the
books you read. I write down title, author, date, something about the book that interests
me, and where I got it. I have kept this book diary for several years and have amazed
myself with the number of books I read. I am also surprised how many times I have used
this as a reference resource.
