England

My husband was assigned to England for a 3-year tour of duty.  While in England, we traveled through Wales (lots of really great castles) and England.  We saw the Tower of London and heard the stories of all the famous residents and saw the Crown Jewels.  It is really fun and interesting touring to see the Crown Jewels because they will not let you stop and you cannot take pictures.  Regretfully we never made it to Scotland (I want to go to Loch Ness to search for Nessie) or to Ireland.  Oh well, maybe sometime in my future.  I recently found a couple of interesting sites concerning England.  I went past Buckingham Palace.  Was not able to tour because the Royals were living there at the time.  Oh, and guess what--It really isn't as foggy as everyone says it is.  It's just that when it does get foggy, the fog is really, really thick. Here they are:

While in England, I also got the chance to travel to France and Belgium.  The hovercraft trip across the English Channel was interesting.  I understand they now have an underground tunnel that goes from England to France so you can just drive.  I don't know if I would like that.  Sounds too long for my tastes.
