Current Committee Assignments

 

Computing Resources Advisory Committee which is responsible for all strategic planning and acquisition of campus computing resources, including both hardware and software.

 

Graduate committee of the Master in Information Assurance which is responsible to develop the proposal and programs to enable DSU to start a new master program in Information Assurance.

 

GRANTS AND AWARDS

 

I have written a variety of grant request to support education innovation at DSU. These proposals include a grant to develop new innovative distance delivery courses and options and a equipment grant from CISCO systems to provide DSU with over $20,000 worth of equipment for networking and security courses.

 

AREAS OF RESEARCH INTEREST

 

I am involved in research and academic writing in the area of Information Assurance which includes policy, ethics, and network security. I continue to support the universities pursuit of innovation in technology with Tablet PC’s both in my writing and course development activities.

 

ACTIVITIES

 

I serve on the board of directors of the local chapter of habitat for humanity where we have built three homes for families in the Flandreau and Madison communities. I am a member of CompTIA professional organization and I have been an active supporter of the DSU computer club.
