Here's the lobby of the hotel where we'll be staying:

And this is the room where we'll eat breakfast each morning. This gentleman is one of the people who will be serving us.

Here's a view of Tower Bridge--it is NOT the London Bridge. It's an awesome structure--the ship's not bad, either.

Every roof in England has either a slate roof or a tile roof. These red tile roofs are a common sight--especially in the country side along the North Sea.

This is a fairly typical view of streets in Canterbury.
This is the pulpit at Canterbury Cathedral. In the days before speaker systems, a raised pulpit with an "awning" helped project the speaker's voice to the entire congregation.

Even the ceiling of Canterbury Cathedral is beautiful to look at.

The house on the left is Shakespeare's birthplace. The gardens aren't quite as pretty in March as they are in June, but everything is a lot greener (and warmer) than South Dakota during the first few weeks in March.

This is a professional picture of Hampton Court Palace. We didn't get time to visit here last year, but we've worked it into this year's itinerary. Behind the Palace is a maze created by the seven foot high hedges. Luckily, there are step ladders around the outside so that others can direct you out of the maze if you can't find your own way out.
