Completed dissertation in Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Central Florida with emphasis on student behavior, literacy, instructional technology and distance learning. Coursework has included work in distance learning as well as design, creation and heuristic evaluation of academic software programs and distributed learning delivery systems. Dissertation focused on the interrelationship of Long-Dzuiban Reactive Behavior Patterns, reading comprehension and web usability at Cincinnati Virtual High School.

Implemented Project 2017: Digital Portfolios for All. Project created a digital record of literacy development through the kindergarten school year that included reading recordings, video, and work samples.

Duties included creating digital portfolios and presentations for constituent groups, including the Florida Department of Education, photographing and videotaping events, maintaining the FLaRE website and assisting in all technological aspects of the statewide literacy initiative. Programs used included Adobe Premiere and Photoshop, Imovie, Flash MX, Dreamweaver, and FrontPage. Developed and led grant writing workshops for summer staff development and literacy institutes.

            Another Chance for Education Teacher, Seminole County School System, Indian Trails Middle School, Winter Springs, FL

            Designed and implemented computerized reading comprehension resource tutorial program for at-risk students.

(ACE=Another Chance for Education) that integrates study, affective and career skills with academics and research using the resources of the Internet. Wrote and was awarded on behalf of the school grants totaling  $10,300. As a member of the grant writing committee, assisted in the successful writing of the technology enhancement grant for $180,000.
