PROFESSIONAL AND TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Adjunct instructor of English, Dakota State University, Madison, South Dakota, January 2006 to present.
Have taught basic writing, composition I and II, and introduction to literature. Teaching has been online and live in a technologically enhanced
classroom using tablet PCs. Course delivery systems have included Desire to Learn and WebCT.

Taught live sections of freshman composition, technical writing (1), world literature survey, and introduction to fiction.
Taught students to use PowerPoint to create presentations in composition classes. Sought to emphasize multicultural texts in literature
classes and assigned group presentations and creative projects as methods of teaching texts. Taught multiple sections of technical writing
online using WebCT. Helped judge essays in the Leadership Competitions sponsored by the Center for Gifted Studies at USM (1999 and 2000).
