I am the technical services librarian at Dakota State University's Karl E. Mundt Library. One of the first questions that I'm asked when I tell people my job title is "What is technical services?" Well, my primary job responsibilities are acquisitions (acquiring the materials that the library orders) and cataloging (organizing those materials so you can find them when you come to the library).
