Ted E. Bear has been watching my many offices since 1979. He has kept me company through long days of work, hours of lonely graduate studies and now my time at SDSU. Over these many years he has never given any hint that he was in any way becoming bored or that he wished to do anything but be my trusted office confidant.

However, 'shocking' new evidence has come to light which has forced me to rethink all of this.
