Family Pictures
July, 2006
We welcomed a new child into the family
in April. He's a growing, happy, healthy baby boy
named Aaron. He's the 47th grandchild of the Arnell's and the 10th of the
Hawkes's. And,
it is probably fair to say he is the last of that generation. What a way
to finish it off.
Thank you Heavenly Father.
Here's a few pictures.

Joy, just a few days before delivery. After six months of pretty strenuous sickness, she's finally enjoying the pregancy. But, she's looking forward to having a little comfort and mobility back. |
Joy is still smiles even
though she is about to go into surgery. Ammon was born emergency
C-section, so this child too would be C-section. Little did she
know that the second time would be much worse than the first. But
she bounced back quickly. |

| The surgical team carefully brings the new baby into the world. An intern watches in the foreground. I'm snapping pictures and video all over the place, but the team is great about it. | The child is none too happy about leaving the comfortable pre-birth confines. After the first few weeks, he hasn't cried much since then. | |

| Joy finally has her new little guy. Aaron Mark Hawkes, born April 11, 2006. Joy insisted on the middle name, I had no compelling wish to see the name forwarded into the history of the family. | Three months later he's a happy little guy. He was born at 7 lbs, and now weighs about 14-15 lbs. | |

| We have lots of helping hands around the house--from holding to fetching diapers to even changing them (though rare). These guys are a great help and they like to hang around Aaron. I'm sure Aaron feels smothered sometimes by all of our kisses and loves, but he's really patient. You'll also notice Aaron has a vast array of faces he can make. | ||
