 | Etta Jo Seaboy presented the military
bears and love boxes. |
 | The latest Pride of the Dakota's
Dispatch was shared and brief a brief update was given by those who have had
recent word from their soldiers. |
 | Discussion was held regarding the
formation of our mission statement. |
 | It was decided that this group will
focus on three things: providing updates on our soldiers, education and
providing support for families through social activities. |
 | Andrea with Creative Memories shared
about scrap booking. It was decided that the unit would purchase two books.
Two pages for each soldier will be made for the book. If family members do
not want to make the pages, Stephanie Brooks will take the pictures and do it
for you. The second book will be used for newspaper clippings.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
 | Our picnic at Wylie Park, in Aberdeen
will be on June 6th. Heather Kallhoff, photographer, can come to photograph
our families that day. We have the picnic shelter A reserved for us. (The
Birdhouse was unavailable.) We will have food from Quiznos. (The rest will
be potluck). Heather would like to take 8-10 photos of each family to put on
a CD to be sent to the soldier. She is not trying to sell photos...but if you
would like to purchase a photo that is an option that you can work out with
her. If you are not available to come to the picnic, I am looking in to when
Watertown is having theirs. Maybe you will be able to attend their picnic,
and get in on the photos that way. |
